DETAILED ITINERARY  
Day 1:  Yangon Arrival

Mingalarbar!
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Begin the tour by exploring unique architecture of Yangon with its British colonial buildings while walking from Sule Pagoda to China Town. Explore Shwedagon Pagoda, Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda with its 70 meters long reclining Buddha and Bogyoke Market.
Evening, dinner at Karaweik Palace with the fantastic view of the Royal Lake and Shwedagon Tower, following by a beautiful cultural show.

Day 2: Yangon – Pyay
Take a 5-hour drive to Pyay and explore its famous Shwe Myet Hman Pagoda, Shwe Sandaw Pagoda, Ancient Pyu Capital and another four pagodas (Baw Baw Gyi, Phaya Gyi, Phaya Ma and Be Be Gyi) which were built around 5th century.

Day 3: Pyay – Bagan
Take a drive to Bagan and begin Bagan’s trip by exploring Shwezigon Pagoda and Nyaung Oo Village.  Enjoy the sunset and panoramic view of the surroundings.

Day 4: Bagan Sightseeing
After the flight to Bagan, spend a full day to discover Bagan’s most outstanding pagodas including Shwezigone Pagoda, Ananda and Sulamani Temples. Enjoy an exotic horse cart ride to one of the biggest temples in Bagan – Nan Paya Pagoda and the second highest pagoda of Bagan – Shwe Sandaw Pagoda, which is the ideal place to observe the paranomic view of sunset.

Day 5: Bagan – Mt Popa
Take a drive to Mount Popa and enjoy the magnificent view of mountainous landscapes on top of this famous volcano. Enjoy the panoramic view of sunset while visiting Popa Kalat Monastery and Popa National Park, before returning to Bagan.

Day 6: Bagan – Pakkoku – Monywa
Drive to Pakkoku to visit the longest bridge in Myanmar and then move to Monywa - a trade town of agricultural products such as rice, sesame, peas and wheat. Explore its iconic Kyaukka lacquerware village and Shweguni Pagoda.

Day 7: Monywa – PowinDaung – Mandalay
Embark on a local boat cruise to Powin Daung, a complex containing 947 sandstone caves dug out of the hills. Continue to explore Shwe Ba Daung with its unique monasteries and temples that are carved out of narrow rocky cliffs before being transferred to Mandalay.

Day 8: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay Hill
Explore the Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, Mingun Bell, Mandalay Palace, Kuthodaw Pagoda and Shwenandaw Monastery, then conclude the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the Burmese sunset and the panoramic view of the city.

Day 9: Mandalay – Sagaing – Amarapura
Continue to Sagaing to visit Uminthonze Pagoda and Sunooponnyashin Pagoda on top of Sagaing Hill. Transfer to Amarapura to explore Mahagandaryone Monastery and Ubein Wooden Bridge before coming back to Mandalay.

Day 10: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin
Take a drive to the former British hill station Pyin Oo Lwin to discover its colonial brick and timber houses. Visit the local market selling locally-produced jams and fruit wines. Afternoon, enjoy a traditional horse and carriage ride to the historical houses and the 175-hectare botanical gardens where you can take a relaxing walk though the beautifully landscaped gardens.

Day 11: Pyin Oo Lwin – Gokteik – Kyauk Me
Take a train passing Gokteik across the famous 700 meter long Gokteik Bridge built in 1900. Upon arrival at Kyauk Me, you can take a stroll around this charming trading town amid the Shan Hills.

Day 12: Kyauk Me – Hsipaw
Transfer to Hsipaw, a charming mountain market town. Spend the afternoon at your leisure exploring the town and visiting the Shan Palace.

Take a scenic boat ride along the River Dokehtawaddy with the mountains, valleys, and fruit plantations. Trek up the hill to visit the 150-year-old Tai Monastery and a Shan village with its typical houses with small charming gardens.

Day 14: Hsipaw – Mandalay
Continue our trip by driving back to Mandalay where you will be dropped off to take a rest at your hotel.

Enjoy the nice drive through the picturesque countryside of the Shan State to Pinyada. Visit Pindaya’s limestone cave and local handicraft workshops producing Shan paper made from mulberry bark.

Day 16: Pindaya – Inle Lake

Take a boat trip to Inle Lake – the heart of Shan State and a major tourist attraction of Myanmar. Enjoy the boat ride to Phaungdawoo Pagoda and Ngaphechaung Monastery which is also known as “Monastery of Jumping Cats”. Travel to Nampan village to discover local silk-weaving and cigar-making.
