ITINERARY

Day 1: ITINERARY

After breakfast, we begin our trip with the Funeral Service Society which might seem a little morbid, but is quite interesting. The society was founded by film director Thukha, and has helped fund over 100,000 funerals. They offer help with cash, services, and effective means using the charitable contributions of sympathy. You will have time to talk with staff of the organization and learn about their cause and organization.

Then we will visit the “Home for the Aged”. The organization provides accommodation for the helpless and homeless aged senior citizens during the remaining years of their life. It is managed by civic-minded and dedicated citizens from various social strata. All contribute their time voluntarily for this noble cause, to render help and comfort to the aged grandpas and grandmas. You will have chance to chat with seniors and help them in their daily routines.

Continue on to AFXB, a small shop selling handicrafts which are made by disadvantaged women. Items sold in the shop are made by the programs participants and all proceeds go to support AFXB and the women involved. Learn about the activities of the centre and perhaps pick up a souvenir to take home. We will have lunch at Link Age restaurant. And then we visit the Mary Chapman School for the Deaf. Observe their activities, and enjoy a therapeutic massage by one of the School’s trained masseurs, a perfect way to wind down after a day of touring.

Time: 09:00 -16:00
Note: Mary Chapman School for the Deaf is open for massage on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday only. On other days, a massage at the School for the Blind will be substituted.
