ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Vientiane – Welcome Dinner

Warmest welcome at Vientiane Intel’ Airport, meets and transfers to hotel. A quick introduction to your bike, the country and the biking routes. Then, a welcome Dinner will be served at Khua Lao restaurant with traditional Laotian music and dance performance.

Accommodation: Hotel in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane (25-50km ride)

Start the day by visiting the serene Wat Sasiket – the oldest temple in Laos and Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue. Continue cycling along the Mekong River until we reach the Friendship Bridge, built to link Thai and Laos Mekong riverbanks and Buddha Park. Return to Vientiane via Route 13 in the afternoon. Stop by at Patouxay (the Victory Monument) for a panoramic view of the city at the top and Luang Stupa.

Day 3: Vientiane – Vang Vieng (50-70km ride – elevation gain 300m)

After breakfast, bike to the north of Vang Vieng through beautiful countryside, passing lush paddy fields, colorful Buddhist temples and the bustling H’Mong market. Continue biking to Tha Lat village for lunch followed by a drive to explore the Tham Jang Cave.

Day 4: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang (50-80km ride – elevation gain 800m)

After breakfast, depart for Luang Prabang – a city with all the charm of a quaint European town mixed with the wonderful, woodsy spice of Asia. After 12km of riding up and down the hill, stop by to visit the H’Mong village before continuing the ride to Kasi town for lunch. Arrive in Luang Prabang in the evening.

Day 5: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave (70-100km ride)

This morning, we head towards Pak Ou Cave. On the way, stop at Ban Phannom before we reach the Pak Ou Cave where hundreds of gilded and wooden Buddha statues. Afternoon, we ride toward to Phone Say village to experience authentic Lao village life.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Accommodation: Hotel in Luang Prabang.

Special remark:The best times are April to November.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall (70-100km)

Today, pedal to the tranquil world of the Kuangsi waterfall. Stop en route at the Talad Phosy market to witness the locals going about their daily activities. Arrive in Kuang Si Water fall, enjoy your time for relaxing and swimming in the clear and cool water. Return to town in the late afternoon for visiting some historical sites including the National Museum, the former Royal Palace and Wat Xiengthong.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Accommodation: Hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 7: Luang Prabang Departure

There is no activity today. Free at leisure till Far East Vacation driver meet and transfer to Luang Prabang Intel’ Airport for flight home.
