ITINERARY

Day 1: Yangon Arrival & City Tour

Mingalarbar!
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Begin to explore this bustling former capital by visiting Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda and Karaweik Palace with the fantastic view of the Royal Lake. Admire unique architecture of Yangon with its British colonial buildings while walking from Sule Pagoda to China Town. Observe the golden sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist pagoda for the Burmese.

Day 2: Yangon – Bago – Kyaikhtiyo – Golden Rock

Transfer to Bago to explore Kanbawzathadi Palace built by King Bayint Naung in 1551. Discover the sacred ordination hall Maha Kalyani Sima and the beautiful 55 meter long reclining Buddha called Shwethalyaung before continuing to Kyaikhtiyo.
Enjoy an open truck ride or hike through the peaceful bamboo forests to reach the Golden Rock on the top of Mount Kyaikhtiyo, the third most important pilgrimage after Shwedagon Pagoda and Mahamuni Pagoda. Observe the breath-taking view of sunset on top of the mountain.

Day 3: Kyaikhtiyo – Taungoo

Transfer to Taungoo, an ancient royal capital of the Taungoo Dynasty which ruled the country for over 200 years between the 16th and 18th centuries. Spend time to explore its ancient palace and grandeur temples and monasteries.

Day 4: Taungoo – Bagan

Transfer to Bagan, the ancient capital of the powerful First Empire of Myanmar. Prepare yourself to explore its over 3,000 temples and pagodas, each with over 2,000 year old history.

Day 5: Bagan

Start the day by visiting Bagan’s colourful Nyaung U Market. Spend a full day to discover Bagan’s most outstanding pagodas including Shwezigon Pagoda, Htilominlo Temple, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Ananda Temple, Thabinnyu Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple and Shwe Sandaw Pagoda – the highest pagoda in Bagan. Visit Myinkaba village to experience Myanmar’s unique handicraft – traditional lacquer-ware.

Day 6: Bagan – Mt. Popa

Take a drive to Mount Popa and enjoy the magnificent view of mountainous landscapes on top of this famous volcano. Enjoy the panoramic view of sunset while visiting Popa Kalat Monastery and Popa National Park, before returning to Bagan. Drop by the interesting local toddy palm houses for a Jaggery (Myanmar chocolate) experience.

Day 7: Bagan

Continue our Bagan’s temple tour by visiting Lawkananda Pagoda, Shwegugyi Temple, Apeyadana Temple and Nagayon Temple. Observe the breath-taking tranquility of sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River at Bupaya Pagoda.

Day 8: Bagan – Pakokku – Monywa

Drive to Pakkoku to explore the weaving and Cheroot (tobacco) workshops and then move to Monywa – a trade town of agricultural products such as rice, sesame, peas and wheat. Enjoy the beautiful sunset over the gentle Chindwin River.

Day 9: Monywa

Embark on a local boat cruise to Powin Daung, a complex containing 947 sandstone caves dug out of the hills. Continue to explore Mohnyin Than Buddha Pagoda where more than 500,000 Buddha images are seated.

Day 10: Monywa – Amarapura – Sagaing – Mandalay

Continue to Sagaing to visit Kaungmutaw Pagoda, YwadaungVillage and the famous Sagaing Hill. Transfer to Amarapura to explore Mahagandaryone Monastery and the longest wooden bridge in Asia, Ubein Wooden Bridge before being transferred to Mandalay.

Day 11: Mandalay – Mingun

Enjoy the romantic boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy River to reach Mingun by the west bank. Explore the Settawya Pagoda, Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, Myatheintan Pagoda and Mingun Bell, which is the largest ringing bell in the world.

Day 12: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin

Take a drive to the former British hill station Pyin Oo Lwin to discover its colonial brick and timber houses. Explore its beautifully landscaped National Kandawgyi Garden, Pwekauk Waterfall and Peikchinmyaung Natural Cave.

Day 13: Pyin Oo Lwin – Mandalay

Return to Mandalay to explore Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda where the world’s biggest book, the full Buddhist scriptures were carved in stone plaques. Admire the beautiful sunset on top of Mandalay Hill.

Day 14: Mandalay – Heho – Pindaya – Kalaw

After the flight to Heho, transfer to Pinyada to visit Pindaya limestone cave – a unique site housing thousands of Buddha images. Continue to Kalaw, the highland of Shan State. Spend the rest of the day to explore this high-altitude holiday resort with cool air, calm atmosphere, leafy and green streets and hills.

Day 15: Kalaw

Start out exciting trek tour to Pein Hne Pin village to experience the village life and local plantation of potatoes, sesames, oranges and tea. Enjoy fresh air, beautiful scenery and a picnic lunch during our 4 hour trek.

Day 16: Kalaw – Inle

Transfer to Inle Lake – the heart of Shan State and a major tourist attraction of Myanmar. Enjoy the boat trip to Phaungdawoo Pagoda and Ngaphechaung Monastery which is also known as “Monastery of Jumping Cats”. Travel to Nampan village to discover local silk-weaving and cigar-making.

Day 17: Inle Lake - Indein

Explore the unique floating markets called the “Five Days Market” organized in different locations where you can enjoy shopping and experience local culture. Enjoy a boat ride to the temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake.

Day 18: Heho – Thandwe – Ngapali Beach

Take a flight from Heho to Thandwe where you will be transferred to Ngapali, the most famous beach in Myanmar and an attractive tourist destination. Enjoy your time strolling along the unspoiled and private beach, or dipping in the beautiful emerald water.

Day 19: Ngapali Beach

Ngapali free time – you may enjoy your free time to fully explore this beautiful beach. There are plenty of things to do, from swimming to water sports and boat ride to the famous Pearl Island. Ngapali also offers the best seafood cuisine in Myanmar.

Day 20: Ngapali Beach

Ngapali free time – you may enjoy your free time to fully explore this beautiful beach.

Day 22: Yangon Shopping & Departure
